Obituary of Edward N. Buseck

STOCKTON - Edward N. Buseck, 80, of Port Charlotte, Florida and Stockton, NY, passed away early morning on Sunday, December 23, 2018, at the Absolut Care of Westfield in Westfield, NY.

Ed was born on January 12, 1938, in Gloversville, NY, the son of the late Leonard Buseck and Dorothy (Nolan) Buseck.

He graduated from Mayfield High School and earned his Teaching degree from Fredonia State College. He had been a High School Social Studies Teacher at Cassadaga Valley Central School in Sinclairville, NY, for many years before retiring in 1993. He was a member of the NYS Retired Teachers Association.

Ed enjoyed fishing and hunting with his sons as well as boating.  He was an accomplished carpenter who spent the summers off from teaching and after retirement building and remodeling several homes.  However, above all else, Ed cherished spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Catherine A. (Glynn) Buseck, whom he married on June 27, 1959, and his son, Jeffrey and his wife Dorothy Buseck, of West Salem, OH. 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren also survive.

He was preceded in death by his son, Edward E. Buseck, his daughter, Kelly A. Buseck-Wood, his grandson, Frank A. Davis, his father, Leonard as well as by his mother Dorothy and his dear step-father, Maurice Hansen.  

No visitation will be observed. A private memorial service will be planned and friends and family will be notified. 

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the MASON Funeral Home, 37 Clinton St., Westfield, NY
