Obituary of Owen J. Miller
RIPLEY, NY - Owen J. Miller, age 13, of Ripley, NY, passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday, September 6, 2018.
Owen was born on March 12, 2005 in Westfield, NY, the son of Joshua S. Miller and Aimee D. Rowe of Ripley.
Owen was an 8th grade student at Chautauqua Lake Central School and loved to play video games, build anything with Legos and had played a variety of sports in his youth. Owen loved all animals, especially his Aunt Dra Dra’s dog Keanna and his cat Kylo. Owen had a great sense of humor and loved to make people smile. His Soul was like a starry starry night; beautiful, mysterious and searching; searching for answers. We don't know all the answers but we know we need to be kind to one another. We loved Owen and Owen loved us.
In Addition to his loving parents, Josh and Aimee, Owen is survived by his adoring sister, Jocelyn. He is further survived by his Paternal Grandfather, Marcus Miller of Ripley, his Maternal Grandparents, Daniel and Sylvia (Dewey) Rowe of Westfield, his Paternal Great Grandmother, Helena Miller of North East, PA, and his Maternal Great Grandfather, Harold "Mike" Rowe, also of North East, PA. Owen had a special place in his heart for his cousin from South Carolina, Rileigh.
He was preceded in death by his Paternal Grandmother, Beth (Douds) Miller, his Paternal Great Grandfather, Sheldon Miller and by his Maternal Great Grandmother Edith (Waite) Rowe.
Friends may call on Sunday, September 9, 2018 from 6 PM until 8 PM at the MASON Funeral Home, 37 Clinton St, Westfield and again on Monday morning, Sept. 10, 2018 from 10 am until the time of the funeral Services at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Ripley, 9869 East Side Hill Rd. Ripley, NY, with Rev. Donald Eggleston officiating.
