Obituary of Thomas M. Baideme

WESTFIELD -Thomas Baideme, age 65, of Westfield, died accidentally, Sunday evening, April 22, 2018 after being struck by an automobile in the Village of Westfield. Thomas was born on June 16, 1952 in Westfield, NY, the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Ricotta) Baideme. A Westfield resident most all his life, Tom was a graduate of WACS and had been employed in the glass business as a Master Glazier and had been a seasonal employee of Growers Cooperative Grape Juices Company. He had served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. Tom lived a life unlike anyone else and had the biggest heart. His greatest pride was in his children and grandchildren. He was a self-proclaimed poet, with odes to everything. He was a free-spirited, peaceful man. He knew almost everyone in the community and was a friend to all. He is survived by his daughter, Talena (Benjamin) Lucas of Westfield, NY and his son, Tyler Thomas Baideme of Erie, PA, as well as his step-children, Chad Lindstrom of Van Buren, NY, Jill Lindstrom-Moore of Westfield, and Jason Lindstrom of Omaha, NE. Also survived by several grandchildren & one great-grandson as well as two brothers, Richard Baideme of Omaha, NE and Joseph Baideme of Greenville, SC. In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his brother, David Baideme. Friends may call on Sunday, April 29, 2018 from 12:30 PM until 2:30 PM at St. Peters Episcopal Church, 12 Elm Street, Westfield, NY, and are invited to attend the Funeral Service there at 3:00 pm with Rev. Virginia Carr officiating. Flowers are gratefully declined and Memorials may be made to The Patterson Library or to the Westfield Community Kitchen.
