Obituary of Lynnette M. Nobbs

BROCTON - Lynnette M. (Travis) Nobbs, age 66, of Brocton, died Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at UPMC-Hamot Medical Center of Erie, PA, following a brief illness. Lynne, as she was known to her family and friends was born on July 15, 1951 in Westfield, NY to Donald Travis and Shirley Casselman. She graduated in 1969 from Westfield Academy and Central School. Lynne worked many jobs starting with Grants in Westfield until she retired in 2011 from the Fredonia TOPS Friendly Markets Store. Her passions in life were her children, grand-kids and her horses. She was also an avid crafter and love working on her family history. In 1977 she married A. Burleigh Nobbs and after a brief separation and devoice remarried Burleigh in 1997. She was a member of the Church of Jesus of Latter Day Saints which she converted to in 1997. Survivors includeher one daughter, Christina S. Nobbs and her partner of 14 years David Best of Dunkirk, NY and her son, Jason Nobbs and his wife Terri (Kelsey) and his three children Adam of Dunkirk, Brandon and Alice Nobbs both of Brocton, NY. She is further survived by a sister Beverly (Stuart) Damcott of Westfield, NY and two brothers Daniel (Christina) Travis of Villa Rica, GA and George Travis of Unsure, USA. She was the beloved Aunt of five nieces, Melissa S. Travis of Buffalo, NY, Melissa A. Allen of Corry, PA, Shawna Farnham of Fredonia, NY, Rachel Sheets of Erie, PA and Angel Travis of Ripley, NY, and two nephews, Dwight Damcott of Warren, PA and Zachary Boyland of Marietta, GA. She was preceded in death by a brother Micheal Travis whom died in infancy. A Memorial Service is being planned for over the summer and there will be no funeral or visitation as her body was entrusted to MASON Funeral Home, 37 Clinton St., Westfield for cremation.
