WESTFIELD - Donna E. (Lines) Franklin, age 79, of Spring St., Westfield, died unexpectedly, Saturday, September 9, 2017 at home. Donna was born on March 16, 1938 in Niagara Falls, NY, the daughter of the late Clarence and Doris (Collins) Lines. She moved to Westfield from Niagara Falls, NY in 1950 and graduated from WACS in 1956. She had been employed by Loblaws then Bells and finally at Tops Markets. She retired from Stearns Catering. Donna loved to cook; food was her passion. She would feed an army if they were hungry. She enjoyed reading cookbooks and traveling with Ralph, going to yard sales and flea markets. She loved life in general; however, her main love was for her family. Donna was a member of the Women of The Moose Chapter 517 of Westfield, a Life Member of the Westfield Fish and Game Club and had been a very active member of the Westfield Kiwanis Club. She had attended the West Portland Baptist Church She is survived by her daughter: Debra (Casey) Best of Westfield, NY and her son: Jeffrey (Cynthia) Franklin of Jamestown, NY. She is further survived by her longtime "Constant Companion", Ralph G. Williams of Ripley, NY. Donna was the proud grandmother of Gregory Best of Westfield and Hannah Franklin of Jamestown, NY. She is further survived by her brothers, Richard (Yvonne) Friedline of North Tonawanda, NY, Allan (Betsy) Lines of Worthington, OH and Herbert (Marge) Lines of Arkwright, NY. Several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her two sisters, Gladys Daniel and Betty Yastrum. Friends may call on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 from 4-7 PM at the MASON Funeral Home, 37 Clinton Street, Westfield, NY where the funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 with Rev. Virginia Carr officiating. Private burial will be in Portland Evergreen Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Westfield Memorial Hospital Foundation, 189 East Main Street, Westfield, NY 14787.
