Although nothing can take away the pain we feel at the loss of a loved one, something that has always helped me is to reflect on the promises of God. One such promise is found at Isaiah 25:8 where God promises to "swallow up death forever and certainly wipe the tears from all faces." Also our hearts will be healed up having our loved ones restored to life by means of the resurrection promise found at John 5:28,29. May you reflect also on your happy memories and let them warm your hearts.
