Wilson, Betty P.

Age 95 of Jamestown, New York passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 12, 2023.  She is survived by her loving children Jane W. (late Daniel D.) Tinney and Charles Cook (Carol) Wilson; her cherished  grandchildren, Brian (Victoria) Tinney, Allison (Rick) Kroll, Morgan (Taylor) Wozniak, Christine (Chad) Green and  six great-grandchildren; also survived by many nieces and nephews.  She is predeceased by her parents Dr. Ernest and Clara (nee Bishop) Pilkey, her loving and devoted husband of 54 years, Marvin C. Wilson, Jr., and two siblings William Pilkey and Mary Jane Erickson. Betty was a graduate of Lakewood High School, “Class of 1945”, Penn Hall Jr. College and Wilson College in Chambersburg, Pa. She enjoyed music and played the trumpet, piano and lending her voice at weddings for many years. She was a very talented knitter and often used her craft to help others. For 13 years she and her husband owned and operated “The Westfield House” in Westfield, NY. Betty Anne was very creative and always presented an atmosphere of gracious hospitality for her guests and friends. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Westfield where she had many friends and served as a deacon for several years. Betty Anne will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
