Obituary of Marie T. Sack

Marie T. Sack, 89, of Silver Creek, NY passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning, August 2, 2023 at Fox Run at Orchard Park.

Marie was born on August 19, 1933 in Westfield, NY, the daughter of the late Leonard and Minnie (nee Pennica) Laporte. A lifelong area resident who married the love of her life Anthony J. Sack on October 29, 1955 at St. Joseph’s R.C. Church in Westfield, NY and together they raised four sons.

Marie worked as a supervisor of admissions for the former Hanover Hospital and TLC Lakeshore Hospital. She was a faithful member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel R.C. Church.  She participated in the Mt Carmel Social Club with her husband Tony and was their treasurer

Marie was the “Best Cook in the World” to her family and friends and would put on an Italian Feast for everybody. She was well known for her homemade spaghetti sauce, nobody went away hungry when they attended her feasts. Most of all her world revolved around her children and grandchildren, attending their sporting events and many activities.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her beloved three sons, Dominic “Mickey” (Patti) Sack of Whitney Pt. ,NY Anthony (Debora) Sack of Silver Creek, NY and Marc (Heather) Sack of Swartz  Creek, MI; 11 cherished grandchildren, Sarah Sack, Joel (Natalie) Sack, Emily (Kylie) Sack, Brandon, Miranda (Jacob Martin) Sack, Faith, Angelo Sack, David Sack and Cammie Sack, Adam (Marci) Barrows and Ashleigh (Adam)Moorehead, 12 great -grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Phyllis Ciminello of Fredonia, NY and Francis Corcoran  formerly ofWestfield, NY.

In addition to her parents Marie was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband of 61 years, Anthony J. Sack, a son, David Sack, grandson, Daniel Sack, a niece Joan Ciminello and a daughter-in-law Andi Sack.

Relatives and friends may call at the Hole-Parker Funeral Chapel, 160 Central Ave. Silver Creek, NY on Friday, August 11, 2023 from 5-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel R.C. Church at 10 AM. Please assemble at the church. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers , the family suggests memorial contributions in Marie’s memory to the Silver Creek Emergency Squad, 162 Central Ave. or  St. Columban’s on the Lake Retirement Home, 2546 Lake Ave. Silver Creek, NY 14136.
