Obituary of Robert C. Deck

A Portland resident for the past 15 years, Bob had previously resided in Westfield and Mayville. He had been employed in the construction trades and had owned and operated a dairy farm in Sherman during the 1970's. He had also been employed by Grower's Co-Op. More recently, Bob had been employed as the Assistant Sexton of Union Cemetery in Westfield, where he retired from several years ago. He was a US Army veteran having served his country overseas during the Korean War. He was a life member of the Wm. P. Jackway Post 6764 VFW of Westfield and was a member of the the Westfield Fish and game Club. Bob enjoyed hunting, vegetable gardening and playing Bingo. However, Bob's grandchildren and family were the love of his life.
